Meeting Jim Clifton, CEO of Gallup : The future of work

On 22 January 2018, the ESCP Europe Paris Campus welcomed Jim Clifton, the CEO of Gallup.

His conference on "The future of work" where he set out his point of view and forecasts impressed a huge assistance of executives and students.

He insisted on the fact that leadership has to change. With only 15% of employees worldwide feeling engaged in their work, as shown by a recent Gallup survey, it is clear that employee needs and expectations have profoundly changed - and leadership must adapt to this new paradigm. Job creation involves the creation of an entire job context, and mastering this new task and innovative ability is required up to the highest levels of leadership. 

Whereas in the past, traditional leadership strategies were based on politics, military force, religion, or personal values, the future will require an interest in and the fostering of personal development and employee wellness.
The conference was followed by a very enthusiastic exchange with the audience.
