ESCP Europe has kicked off an exciting new series of Scale Up Projects.
These consultancy projects focus on one of the biggest challenges in business: how to scale revenue and profits sustainably. The projects have been launched at the London campus by Professor Davide Sola, author of bestselling "How to Think Strategically" published by the Financial Times.
Participant firms come from a range of sectors and geographies including the UK, Austria, Ireland, Iran and Africa, drawing on the expertise of teams of ESCP Europe Master in Management students. The student teams analyse key aspects of each participating business from sales and organisational design to business model. The end result is a Scale Up plan, which sets out the path for the companies to grow 10 x revenue and 15 x profits. Participants include:- Sedicii
- Plantwork Systems
- Bio-Synergy
- Miras
- Stirtec
- Mitula
- Inyenyeri
- DAL Sterling
ESCP Europe has a long heritage of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship-related education. Its founder Jean Baptiste-Say coined the term ‘entrepreneur' before establishing the business school nearly two centuries ago.
The School enables students to learn and understand entrepreneurship in many different ways. One of them is through the cross-campus JB Say Institute, founded in 2007, which offers a European academic reference dedicated to entrepreneurial leadership and innovation. The Institute enables students from various backgrounds (ESCP Europe, Epitech, 42, Ensci, Strate, etc.) to learn through entrepreneurship: Option E: ESCP Europe's most popular major course and MSIE: One of Europe's leading specialised master programmes for creating a start-up.
Each year ESCP Europe's campuses run local Entrepreneurship Festivals on the same day. This is just another example of the school's pan-European spirit. In November 2017 the festival also celebrated the 10th anniversary of the JB Say Institute. The festival offers various events, workshops and exhibitions to see the students share their views on the future of entrepreneurship and experience their own start-up projects. Later there are networking sessions and keynote speeches. The Entrepreneurship Festival is open to all, including external guests.
