With a relaxing and reinvigorating festive break completed, ESCP Europe's London campus hosted yet another successful Careers Week for its Master in Management (MIM) students from 8th to 10th January, 2018.
Students were offered workshops on presentation structure, networking, body language, LinkedIn and social media, plus fun sessions teaching how to excel at Elevator Pitches. This exercise helped them prepare for the Paris Careers Forum, which took place on 19th January.
An evening event saw 100 students attend an engaging and thought-provoking Alumni Round Table, with our guest panel made up of and seven Alumni from the MIM and Master in European Business (now MBA in International Management) programmes.- Carol O'Connor, CEA - Media and Telco Investment Banking Executive
- Roman Dahl, Google - Senior Associate, Google Play Strategy
- Alex Lyneel, Coutts - Head of Mortgage Proposition
- Stefano Massarelli, OTIS (United Technologies Corporation) - M&A/Finance Integration Manager
- James Shaw, Mondelēz International - Global Change Management Lead
- Filippo Rinaldi, Unilever - Assistant Strategy Manager, Global Personal Care at Unilever
- Michael Tschikof, Royal Bank of Canada (Capital Markets) - Associate, Credit Sales
The final day of the Careers Week welcomed two guests from Gartner - Sarah Ballard, Graduate Recruitment Manager and Matt Cole, Account Executive - who delivered two bespoke workshops to MIM Year 1 students. Gartner has been the School's corporate partner for almost three years, with many of our students joining their summer internship programme. In the afternoon, the Careers Service delivered another interesting workshop on body language.
With the attendee feedback praising the value of its sessions during the event, The Careers Service at the London campus plans further workshops on Body Language, Networking and LinkedIn to take place throughout 2018 – all vital topics when preparing for interviews, assessment centres and networking events.
